is hardware developed by IBM including: servers, memory, and workstations.
AS440 is part of the iSeries line of servers that are flexible to
run on different technologies and applications. They are an integrated
solution. Features include built-in virtualization of system resources
and dynamic workload management. AS400 was designed with open standards
and has the most flexibility with operating systems and applications
compared to other servers. It also has many autonomic computing
features such as dynamic logical partitioning, self-optimization,
and enterprise identity mapping.
